Our Story
Forest 2 Home's parent company, Gutchess Lumber, has been in the lumber industry for close to 120 years. George Gutchess originally founded the company in 1904 on a small farm in upstate New York. The company has since been passed on through five generations of the Gutchess family and grown into a global lumber provider producing more than 90 million feet annually.
Over the years, we’ve developed a deep appreciation for lumber and the benefits it can bring to people’s lives. While Gutchess Lumber was formed to focus on manufacturing and global sales, we built Forest 2 Home to support individual woodworkers, crafters, and DIYers.
